| At the 11th Sevier County Bi-Annual Juried Fine Art Exhibition, Kathryn Rutherford was presented the City of Gatlinburg Scholarship Award for her watercolour painting entitled "Celebration".
Two of Kathryn's paintings were juried into the show. They were hung side by side in a place of honour on a main wall at the end of the exhibition gallery.
The Scholarship Award, funded by the City of Gatlinburg, consisted of a fully paid scholarship to take any class at the internationally known Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, located in the City of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
As a fine art instructor and full time artist, Kathryn welcomed this opportunity to further her own education and study under other well known instructors. She chose a class in embellished watercolours which has inspired her work to set off in new and exciting directions.
