GICLEE PRINTING FEES are for scanning, image matching and manipulation, colour matching and PRINTING ONLY.

No sleeves, Certificates of Authenticity or canvas stetchers are supplied.

Below you will find the costs of printing photographic, giclee art or canvas prints. Prices listed are per print whether you order one print at a time or an entire edition of prints.

Additional services and papers kept in stock are also listed. Please Note: Many other papers and fabrics are available. We will special order necessary products needed when possible.

For many edition sizes this is a more economical way to order the prepress and proofing services needed to guarantee a quality edition. Charge includes scanning (photography is EXTRA), image correction for colour/contrast/brightness/density/saturation and one FULL SIZE ARTIST PROOF printed on the edition media. ANY ADDITIONAL PROOFS REQUIRE AN ADITIONAL IMAGE ADJUSTMENT FEE AND PROOFS PRICED AT 25% OFF RETAIL PRICE.

CUSTOMER SUPPLIED SCANS
Scans must be saved on a CD in RGB TIFF (recommended) or RGB JPG format at 300dpi minimum and scanned at 100% of the original size of the image. Scans made from slides or transparencies have recommended and maximum output of the following sizes:
2"x 2" slide---Optimum output 9"x 12" Maximum output 16"x 20"
4"x 5" transparency---Optimum output 18"x 24" Maximum output 24"x 30"

IN STOCK PAPERS and PRINTING MEDIA

We stock our most commonly requested media. Others are available, including Japanese Papers, fire retardant, transparent film, outdoor banner materials and more. We will make every attempt to accommodate your needs and bring in a media not listed below.

PLEASE NOTE: Traditional fine art papers are measured in pounds. An ordinary piece of typing paper would be a 20lb bond. Sketchbook paper is usually 60-70lbs. The majority of artists paint on 120lb watercolour paper, but, those painting on 300lb watercolour paper are working on what might be considered heavy stock cardboard.Digital artist papers and canvas have taken on a new method of measurement. These papers are now measured in grams as indicated by gsm, or thicknesses as indicated by mils.8mils/170gsm is about the consistancy of a heavy bond paper
10mils/260gsm is equivelant to photographic papers
17mils/300gsm is a heavy card stock similar to fibre base photographs
22mils/310gsm or 25mils/355gsm is the thickest quality watercolour paper without going to 300lbs
29mils/460gsm is similar to presentation board. Excellent in Hahnemuhle Photo Rag for presentation work


ICI OLMEC OPTIMUM PHOTO GLOSS/PHOTO SATIN-10mils/260gsm
Prestige, high quality, bright white gloss or satin paper. Specifically developed for photo realistic printing providing both the look and feel of conventional photographic papers. Instant dry, highly water resistant and fade resistant.

ILFORD GALERIE SMOOTH PEARL-280gsm
Supurb photographic quality with the heavyweight look and feel of a real photograph. Closely resembles the Kodak E (Satin) finish.

ARCHES INFINITY ROUGH/SMOOTH-230gsm
Arches has coated their cold press (rough) and hot press (smooth) fine art papers to produce museum-grade giclee prints. These papers are 100% cotton mould-made, acid-free and lignin-free. The finest of art papers. Both finishes are available in 355gsm.

HAHNEMUHLE WILLIAM TURNER-22mils/310gsm, 16mils/190gsm
The Hahnemuhle Paper Mill has been producing quality mould-made artist paper for over 415 years. William Turner is 100% white rag watercolour paper. It has a wonderful texture similar to a traditional artist watercolour paper and is one of the few giclee papers that does replicate a true cold press (rough) watercolour texture.

SCHOELLERSHAMMER FINE ART VELVET-13mils/200gsm, 17mils/300gsm
A premium quality, 100% cotton rag, archival paper with superior aging qualities that is 100% acid free. Bright white without the use of optical brighteners and has a soft, light velvety texture that produces luscious art and photo work. Excellent colour saturation and produces supurb black and white photographs.
